THOUGHTS ON “BUYING A MALLORCA APARTMENT IN 2021

Hello. I’m thinking of buying a property like a 3 bedroom apartment or small villa in Palma de Mallorca bed flat) to use as holiday home, and when not used short term holiday lets. I know there are tourist restrictions on locations (zone’s) within Palma Old Town and therefore looking for advice on regions that should be looked at, and application for a rental license etc which I assume may need before to buy a property.

Hi Joe, first you need to know that certain types of properties do not usually qualify for an ETV license, including those that are located in the Old Town of Palma. Unless the community of owners agree , you can’t get the licence. You can find information about the zones etc by following this link to holiday licences in Mallorca..
